Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is well-known for her the roles she played as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole children to Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into the showbiz world early and was performing lead roles in various shows on television by the time she was sixteen. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall the role she played as the Secretary Traudljunge of Adolf Hitler was also critically acclaimed. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra was involved in many notable projects, both nationally as well as internationally. A few of them include the British biographical film Control, the Greek film The Dust of Time, and French historic miniseries Napoleon. She has also been an adjudicator at the Transylvania International Film Festival as and at the Cannes Film Festival.
