Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September. 21 1982) is a well-known American actor. Particularly, she played Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost television show, and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Following the divorce of her parents the actress left Worthington, Ohio to live with her family in Los Angeles. As she struggled financially, she was able to land her first acting gig as Rachel's Room's title character the online video show Rachel's Room in 2001. Following her win of a Young Artist Award in 2002 for her performance of Murder In Greenwich of a 15-year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, Grace was able to win. In 2004 Grace was selected to portray Shannon Rutherford in the television series Lost where she acted as a principal character for the initial two seasons, and was awarded an award called the Screen Actors Guild Award shared with the ensemble cast. Leaving the series Grace would like to be on film more frequently, having starred opposite Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. The actress was in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) and opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in 2008. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) were her reprises of characters. Grace was Shannon on the finale and in two additional episodes. In 2013, she was in the seventh season Californication. She plays Faith as a fan and muse of the celebrities. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. A member of the Gyllenhaal clan, she is the daughter of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs as well as the elder sibling of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager, she began to work as a small part-time actress for her father. She was also in Donnie Darko alongside her twin brother. Her subsequent roles included Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind which was released in 2002 as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal's lead roles in Secretary, the romantic comedy-drama erotico and Sherrybaby (a film) have earned her nominations to the Golden Globe Award.
