Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December 1991. His parents are Manny James, and Patty James. His father is Nigerian as is his mother, who is caucasian American. James graduated in 2010 of Sanderson High School. In 2015, James earned the Bachelor of Economics degree at Wake Forest University. James became famous when his role as a reality TV participant on The Bachelorette. In 2020, he was chosen to be the next bachelor in season 25, which was The initial African American male lead which later premiered in 2021.
